I just heard that song "don'tcha" by the Pussycat Dolls, I think. If not them, then some equally as skanky, hoochie, nasty chick "band". I really despise that song, "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was hot like me....blah blah blah" The first thing I think is "No, cause she probably be some skanky ho with like an untreated venereal disease. Bleh". Then their next hit song "Buttons" which is basically about some horny chick who is all impatient and pouty because the guy she's with won't just use her up and eff her real quick like he said he would. Why do I get the feeling that some guy wrote these songs for these patheta-sad "sex-kitten" automatons to sing? I'm no super women's lib activist. I'm not militant about women's rights and the social degradation of women blah blah blah, but you know, it does bug me when these are out there for little girls like my sweet little niece to see. Luckily my sister doesn't allow that kind of crap into her house, but how many girls are older than my niece and are flipping around on the radio and hear this crap. Then they think that they are supposed to be hoochies just waiting for guys to use them. I know, there should be parental intervention etc. but you know I was a young impressionable girl once and luckily I had plenty of parent intervention. I knew that when I heard crap like that on the radio or TV it was crap, but some girls will not be able to see that or they don't have parents to scare the bejeezers out of them like I had. I just wish those girls had more dignity than to sing that sh**. You know fame is not worth your dignity.
Oh and I also hate that those damn songs are so effing catchy.....*humming dontcha*.....
Sh**! Damn ear worm!.............*humming*....... *sigh*

I'm so sick of being sick!
Today is like day 25 of the mysterious hacking, mucous-y, cough. I've had this cough for like at least 3 weeks now. I went to the Dr. a week ago and she said, "Oh I think its viral, so just take mucinex and we'll see how it goes." Now I feel worse than before and I can not go into the last 3 weeks of classes like this. I am fuzzy headed, tired, wheezy and just in general sick and slow. I am feeling so crappy I passed up a whole day of scrapping with the girls (oh and ironically I need to write a virus lecture for tomorrow too.). At least I can say I would have been miserable and worthless if I went, I've already slept like 2 hours on the couch alternating between freezing and burning up. Also I hate being around other people when I'm coughing like I am, I swear they must hear me and think "run she has tuberculosis!" or at least "Blech, thats nasty! why is she subjecting us to her sickness, how rude!" Ok so I have too many imaginary conversations in my head. But I believe people really are saying these things in their own heads. Maybe not. I do. Anyway, thats all, I think I need to hack again, excuse me.

Ok this is really the last thing
7. I hate my wedding photographer. Yeah the one who didn't give us our album? Yeah her. I hate her. She has caused us much stress and annoyance trying to get some kind of money from her to get our album published. That is in addition the fact that the WEDDING album she promised us was not delivered. Our effing WEDDING ALBUM! *sigh* Can you imagine? I'm a damn scrapper and I don't have a wedding album. I hate her. >:(

One more thing.....
6. I hate reading over a post I have just completed and realizing I have left in typos or grammatical errors. *sigh*
I swear I'm smarter than that.

The Fox Hates on Everyone
My husband says I shouldn't use the word hate, he says it implies an incredible amount of negative feeling. He seems to think that I do not want wish to imply an incredible amount of negative feeling toward whatever it is I am claiming that I hate. That is where he is mistaken. Here is a short account of my venemous feelings (at least for today).
1. I hate the Fertility Dr.'s office. I hate his back office staff. They are incompetent fools and I'm worried about entrusting my fertility to those idiots. They can't seem to handle the insurance issues that THEY should be handling. You know I do my job, they should do theirs. Since they can't seem to handle that, I will be going there shortly to rip them a new one. I'm trying not to go all "Efferson" on them. Those of you who know what that means know it means alot.
2. I hate my husbands boss and coworkers, they are jack asses. They have made his life miserable which in turn makes my life miserable. This is completely unacceptable. I truly wish I could go napalm that sh*t hole. However because I value my life free from incarceration I will not be doing so, but I pretend in my head. I can see them blown to smithereens. I'm not normally a very violent person, but it is to this extent that these people have pissed me off. Now I have to be in close proximity to these people at the Christmas party, unfortunately I have to make small talk and pretend to be having a good time when what I really want to do I punch them then spit in their face, Merry Christmas. Just the thought of it makes me so angry and unhappy it makes my heart race and bile come up in my throat. Ok enough of them, I have wasted too much of my precious moments of life thinking/dealing with them.
3. I hate insurance. Simply for the fact that they don't cover the expensive stuff. *sigh*
4. I hate tailgaters. Get Off My Ass. "Die tailgater scum!"
5. I hate the feeling I get when I have to give people bad news about their grades. It's drop time and well some people are not doing so well. I don't hate it when they haven't been trying, I don't care about that. I hate it when they have been trying and this is like the last class they need to get into ________ school. I can usually tell when people have been trying, and giving it their all, but they still fall short. I hate that feeling.
** Note**
As I've been blogging I listened to 3 message left on my phone 1. from the Dr.'s office saying my info was passed on to the appropriate person 2. the billing people asking me to call them about my medical bill, 3. the appropriate person who has my medical info, I need to call her back hopefully they have just saved me a trip to their office and thus they have dodged a bullet full of cussing. I think my office is bugged. How did these people know they should call me, exactly right before I was to pay them a visit?
Anyway, I feel sort of better. Hopefully I will feel lots lots better after I talk to the Dr.'s office. *sigh*

CEO of Culinary Arts Inc.
In my marriage, I am in charge of our nutritional decisions, and preparing such decisions such a manner as to be edible. I find this ironic seeing as how I had a hard time making nutritional decisions for myself as a single person (often making hideously bad choices as anyone looking at me could tell) and now I am making decisions for two people. Not only do I have to decide what we are to eat each day, I am also the one to procure said food and prepare it each day. This whole situation in and of itself is ok, I don't mind it too much as long as I stay relatively organized with my weekly menu and my weekly grocery list and weekly single trip to the grocery store. It actually works quite well and I'm very proud of myself for being that organized. Organization is a huge feat for me, its a constant battle against personal chaos.
Anyway back to what I was saying. Being the CEO of Culinary Arts Inc (my kitchen) is fine, except for one thing.
My husband is a picky, picky man. *long sigh*
He is not into variety, and he's not into trying anything interesting or new. He has humored me on a few occasions (we've had this discussion many times) and tried a new recipe, only to tell me "well it wasn't my favorite" or flat out tell me he doesn't like it he won't eat it. In these cases I let out a long sigh, feel frustrated and tell him to make a sandwich or something.
I for one, love to cook, I like trying new recipes and new things (though within boundaries, I'll admit i won't try weird new meats or things in other languages, how non multicultural I know, oh well its my damn kitchen) For example, I like making stir fry, and I like trying new little twists, the thing I like best about stir fry is its made in one pan, and it has lots of veggies, it was one of the number one ways I actually ate vegetables. DH, does not like stir fry. *sigh* He doesn't like asian food unless it comes from Pei Wei, and then only one dish, (never ventured out to try something else) or pepper steak, never eating any of the pepper but only the steak. Thats it. Home made stir fry, nope. Water chestnuts, nope, bamboo shoots, nope, bean sprouts nope. Won't even try it.
So now I'm trying to put in some variety to our menu, I'm tired of eating the same damn thing over and over and over. Well its been hell trying to find something that we both like and is relatively easy. I swear, from now on I am going to make food for myself and Mr. Picky can effing make his own food. Augh! The impetus for this post? I just made a whole damn casserole dish of some crazy ass casserole, I will completely admit, not the best, but its ok, I think we could at least finish off the casserole dish of it and perhaps not make it again. Nope. I see myself trying to eat some more over the next day or so and then dumping everything else down the disposal. *sigh* I'm so completely annoyed. I know he's not doing it to make me mad or make life difficult. I just don't know what to do anymore and I refuse to make 2 dinners, just not gonna do it, wouldn't do it for my kids and not gonna do it for a grown adult. I suppose he's gonna eat alot of peanut butter sandwiches from here on out. If he likes what I make great, if not, theres always peanut butter.
Sorry this blog has become the b*tch page lately. Oh well.

Why do I keep trying to fool myself?
I'm currently seated at the local Panera, I'm waiting for the Target to open so I can go get candy for my students exam today, cause thats just the kind of Prof I am, and well, I'm trying to bribe them into not hating me for this exam (*SMACKDOWN!*). It's the day after halloween so I should be able to score the enormo bag-o-candy for cheap. Hell, I may be nice but I'm not rich. their exam actually is pretty good from their stand point, the multiple choice is fairly simple, though it is only 50% of the exam. The short answer is kinda long, but I think good. If they've studied they should be fine.
Ok now to the fooling part, I got my happy savory scone and a small coffee. The scone, quite good, (though for some reason not soothing me in its usual way) but the coffee, *sigh*, why do I get the coffee? Do I get it because as westtexgirl said in her blog, it feel grown up? yes, thats one reason. Another is, its generally cheap (unless you are at Starbucks obviously). I however do not like coffee, I just don't and this coffee is particularly not good. Is it me or the coffee? I don't know. There is however some coffee I do like. Someone in the office suite shelled out a few bucks and got some awesome coffee at Central Market and *brought it to work*. I must find the lovely soul and thank them for the nutty, rich, but sublime, subtle coffee they have brought. Usually its some super strong, dark black, sting your nose brewed Folgers. So I guess I like coffee, just fairly expensive rare coffee (probably not so rare), with plenty of creamer and sugar mind you. Hmm complicated, why does that not surprise me?
Coffee is one of those coming of age things. You couldn't drink it as a kid, only grown ups drank coffee. I think for me it comes down to the fact that it is a socail anchoring point. It's always good times/stories/cries/news/ etc. shared over cups of coffee. It's the "how do you take your coffee" question, no one faults you now for having a complicated coffee ritual, in fact, if you don't, your the odd one. I guess like westexgirl said, its the coffee mystique.
*sip* *Blech!!* Yeah you can effin' keep your nasty bitter mystique self..... give me a caramel apple cider easy on the caramel and no whip anyday..... ;)
Targets finally open.....*phew*
